چکیده
TYPE: Case Report TOPIC: Chest Infections INTRODUCTION: Bronchopulmonary sequestration (BPS) is a rare congenital malformation of the lower respiratory tract; it consists nonfunctioning mass lung tissue that irrigated by an anomalous systemic artery. The association with Actinomyces superinfection has not been well established. CASE PRESENTATION: We present case 35-year-old woman history recurrent episodes pneumonia. Based on radiological and histopathological examination, she was diagnosed intralobar bronchopulmonary associated infection. DISCUSSION: Pulmonary actinomycosis chronic, indolent slowly progressive disease. pulmonary BPS established, only one reported in literature so far; however, identification other microorganisms have documented, most prevalent being Aspergillus, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, nontuberculous mycobacteria, Pseudomonas Nocardia. Most patients superinfection, such as our case, are asymptomatic carried anomaly for years without diagnosis, identified incidentally during routine physical examination or CONCLUSIONS: BPS. These two entities similar clinical characteristics, chronicity, presence multiple pneumonia nonspecific presentation. Therefore, diagnosis difficult likely final made through to culture. There high frequency infection BPS, accurate causative organism, including spp., should be achieved. DISCLOSURE: Nothing declare. KEYWORD:

Plasma Cell Granuloma Associated with Pulmonary Actinomycosis: A Case Report
Plasma cell granuloma (PCG) of the lung is a rare disease that usually presents as a pulmonary nodule or mass on incidental radiographic examination without symptoms. Although the etiology of PCG is still controversial, many findings have lent support to the lesion being a reactive inflammatory process rather than a neoplastic one. We describe a 53-yr-old male who presented with a hemoptysis an...

Clinical features.?In the early stages thoracic actinomycosis may be entirely symptomless or the symptoms may consist of a mild attack of bronchitis with slight cough and pain in the chest, not sufficient to make the patient seek medical advice. As the disease progresses, the clinical course resembles that of chronic pulmonary tuberculosis. Thus there is irregular fever, persistent chest pain, ...
متن کامل[Extralobar pulmonary sequestration. A case report].
We described the case of a 36-year-old Turkish female with an extralobar pulmonary sequestration who suffered from chest and back pain for five years without any evidence of pulmonary infection. A chest X-ray showed an area of opacity behind the cardiac silhouette in the lower area of the left hemithorax. A CT scan of the thorax with intravenous contrast showed a 9 x 7 cm in size ovoid mass wit...

Introduction: Actinomycosis is a systemic chronic bacterial infection caused by Actinomyces Israelii, an anaerobic organism normally resident in the human mouth. However, the actinomycosis of the larynx is very rare, and only about 15 cases have been reported in the literature so far. Most of the cases reported occurred in patients who had previously undergone radiotherapy for laryngeal cancer...

Purpose: Pulmonary sequestration (PS) is a rare congenital lung malformation. It is characterized by an abnormal mass of dysplastic lung tissue supplied by an anomalous systemic artery and separated from normal bronchopulmonary tree. Misdiagnosis and inadequate treatment can lead to recurrent pneumonia and fatal hemoptysis. Methods: We report a 45 years female was diagnosed PS, and performed a ...
